Feedback by Caroline from Exeter in East Devon on her N-LITE Acne Treatment.
"I would un-reservedly recommend N-LITE treatment to anyone suffering from Acne spots. When I had given up on all other treatments, this was a miracle cure. My skin is clear, soft and glowing. I can't thank the team at Remedies, especially Wendy, enough." Caroline

N-Lite Laser Acne Treatment
The typical questions we get asked by our clients from all over South West England are:
- What is the Best Acne Treatment?
Well, there are a number of Acne Treatments including drugs, some of these can have some serious side effects e.g. sun sensitivity, extreme dryness of the skin and nasal passages. We prefer our very successfull treatments using Laser and Light Systems combined with skin care products tailoured for acne skin. There are no side effects with this which is importnat to us.
- Are there Acne Scar Treatments as well?
Skin Peels and the NLITE laser will help in the treatment of acne scarring depending on depth and extent. There is our Micro-needling treatment and Fractional Laser which can also improve acne scarring. Our passion for skin care and resolving client skin problems means we have the latest technologies and skin care products to treat in a bespoke fashion because we see everyone as being unique.
- What is the Acne Cure?
There is no outright cure for acne, but it can be managed so that the symptons i.e. spots and inflammation are minimised. Acne needs to be treated before it gets out of hand because Acne Scarring can result which is much more difficult to get rid of.
At Remedies we do the best acne treatment that we think is available, using the renowned NLITE Laser combined with high quality skin care products appropriate for acne skins.
We invested some years ago in an N-LITE laser. This has been featured in the national press, the medical journal "The Lancet", recently on BBC 3 Television programme "Dying for a Clear Skin" discussing the severe side effects of the drug Roaccutane.
The programme highlighted the NLITE Laser being used by leading Dermatologist Dr Tony Chu in London which is the same machine as we have here at the Remedies Clinic and has given us some great Acne and mild Acne scar treatment results.
It is a common fallacy that acne only affects teenagers as it can affect men and women of all ages.
Acne is recognised by the medical profession as one of the most common and stubborn skin problems.
Regardless of skin type or lifestyle, approximately 80% of the population will suffer from acne and want an acne treatment at some point in their lives. Yet many clients fail to respond adequately to the current acne treatment options.
Others can develop problematic side effects, plus the cost and the duration of their acne treatment using topical medications, drugs and oral antibiotics, make standard therapy far from ideal.
How it Works
The N-Lite Laser system uses laser energy to both calm down the acne and spots and also reduce the visible effect of acne scars. The acne and spot treatment is virtually painless. The light therapy using the N Lite Laser is not always the most suitable choice hence our other product based treatments may be recommended.
High intensity yellow laser light is pulsed onto the skin of the affected area. Most clients describe the sensation of treatment as "like an intermittent jet of warm water". The Laser energy penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin helping to kill acne bacteria deep within the skin.
We normally recommend you have 3 N-LITE acne treatments initially as aprt of your treatment plan. The acne treatment is quite quick most sessions last approximately 45 minutes. During the treatment period, you work in association with your skincare therapist by taking advice and guidance on your homecare regime and products.
How Much Does It Cost?
We do not normally quote prices prior to a laser consultation because we treat everyone as being unique. We try to guide you down the most suitable treatment path for you and your skin, and answer any queries you may have.
