Micro-Needling Therapy
From the International Institute for Anti-Ageing (the IIAA) we now provide the micro-needling therapy treatment which harnesses the skin’s powers of rejuvenation. The 1 mm micro-needling is a revolutionary way to stimulate normal collagen production for smoothing the skin and treating fine wrinkles and scarring.
It is suitable for all skin types (not active acne) this non-invasive technique uses micro-needles to penetrate the top layer of skin and create pin point injuries in the deeper layers. This results in the release of growth factors as part of a natural healing response.
Collagen and elastin production is increased thus helping to reduce the signs of ageing such as fine lines, pigmentation, superficial scarring as a result of acne for example, small broken capilliaries etc. When used in rejuvenationwith Vitamin A products prior and during treatments, the results are increased.
The skin appears sunburnt post treatment for about 24 hours, so there is a little down time.
A topical aneasthetic is used, so sensation is minimal. A course of treatments recommended as discussed at the consultation with the effects continuous and lasting.
